Note: Organizations that are new to billing Medi-Cal or who have received new contracts or started new programs (including organizations that take over an existing contract from another agency) are required to attend county run CQRT meetings and will be provided with a special CQRT training during the first meeting.

    Intimate Partner Violence: How to Recognize and Treat The Impact of Domestic Violence

    DESCRIPTION: Intimate partner violence continues to happen in families with alarming frequency. In this course, dynamics that contribute to intimate partner violence will be explored, as well as strategies for assessing if intimate partner violence is occurring in relationships. The training will also highlight ways to understand how both perpetrators and survivors are best helped to wellness. This course will also sensitively explore the added challenges that people in communities of color and members of the LGBTQ community face when intimate partner violence is impacting their lives. Specific scripts for speaking to survivors and perpetrators will be developed and practiced. Vignettes will be presented, and case plans will be developed.

    Description: Addresses mental health assessment, client plan development, and service provision documentation requirements in the Electronic Healthcare Records System: Clinician’s Gateway.
    Who Should Attend: ACBH Providers Only. County run clinics and organizations that use Clinician's Gateway (CG) as their Electronic Health Record (EHR) and who bill through INSYST. This is not a training on how to use Clinician's Gateway, but is a training on how to get documentation up to Medi-Cal standards.
