Beginning Of The Behavioral Health Court

I am happy to report that our county’s new Behavioral Health Court will begin operations August 4. It will get off to a slow start as the court team begins to review cases that are referred and determine eligibility. The court team consists of:

  • Judge: Carol Brosnahan
  • DA Lauri Weiner
  • PD Phil Adams
  • PO Reggie Davis
  • Outpatient ACT services (the TRACT team) provided by East Bay Community Recovery Project.
  • CJMH staff Julie Eddy and Megan Hast will be helping with the court as mental health assessors.

I want to thank you all for your support in helping get this court developed. It will be of great value to persons with serious mental illnesses who have been repeatedly arrested for crimes related to their mental illnesses. It will also be of great value to the communities we serve.
