The County of Alameda’s General Services Agency (GSA) operates GSA Property & Salvage. If any County Department no longer needs a particular item, it is declared surplus property and sent to Property & Salvage for sale or recycling. This is a warehouse type facility that contains excess chairs, file cabinets, tables, computers, etc. As a CBO under contract with BHCS, your organization qualifies to purchase any Property & Salvage items for pennies on the dollar. Stop by County Property & Salvage and see what’s available. Business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (They are closed noon to 12:30). Be sure to tell them you are a “BHCS CBO and would like best possible pricing”. This is a cash and carry operation.
