Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS)

Location Alameda County (sites in Berkeley, Oakland, and Hayward)
Age Group Served Adults 18-59+yo and Families with children 1-18 yo.
Program Description Housing, Health, Economic Development, and Social Justice programs (both residential, drop-in and Outpatient Service Team ) for homeless people, including those with disabilities and special needs (mental illness, dual diagnosis, HIV/AIDS, illiteracy, domestic violence).
Placement Period Year-round
Program/Placement Hours Depends on program - BOSS has programs open 24 hours and others with specified daytime hours
Preferred Discipline / Experience Depends on program - clinical experience preferred for working in Behavioral Health Care programs
First or Second Year Students First or Second Year MSW
Supervision & Support: On-site supervision by site supervisor and/or LCSW Intern Coordinator
