The Mental Health Services Act is designed to expand and transform California’s county mental health service systems. It stipulates that the State Department of Mental Health (SDMH) will contract with County Mental Health Departments to develop and manage the implementation of MHSA's provisions.

Mental Health Services Act Prevention & Early Intervention (PEI) Draft Plan Now Available for Review and Comment
The draft PEI Three-Year Program & Expenditure Plan (FYs 2007-2008, 2008-2009) is now available for public review and comment. Click here to download a copy and learn how you can give input. All comments must be received by Monday, July 14, 2008.
