MHSA - Mental Health Services Act

The Mental Health Services Act is designed to expand and transform California’s county mental health service systems. It stipulates that the State Department of Mental Health (SDMH) will contract with County Mental Health Departments to develop and manage the implementation of MHSA's provisions.
What's New
Capital Facilities & Technology (CFT) Component Plan Now Available for Public Review and Comment
This Component Plan provides an overview of the planning process and lists the categories of projects for our Capital Facilities and Technology implementation of the Mental Health Services Act.

The public comment period for this plan ends on Monday March 23, 2009. Please submit your comments by email to mhsa@acbhcs.org or in writing to:

All substantive comments and responses will be included in our final plan to the State. You may also give comments at the public hearing that the Alameda County Mental Health Board will conduct no later than Monday April 13, 2009 (to be confirmed.)
Mental Health Services Act Prevention & Early Intervention (PEI) Plan submitted to State for Review
The PEI Three-Year Program & Expenditure Plan (FYs 2007-2008, 2008-2009) that was submitted to the State Department of Mental Health and the Oversight and Accountability Commission is available here.
Request for Proposal (RFP)
The Family Education and Resource Center will play a critical role in helping families support individuals with mental illness who are children, adolescents, transition age youth, adults or older adults.
